With so many diverse ways to enjoy Amateur Radio such as WIRES-X and packet operation, transceivers are now having to deal with increased levels of heat generated due to the higher duty-cycle load of the Digital modes. Recognizing the need for a cooling and heat dissipation solution, Yaesu developed the SMB-201 especially for Amateur Radio operators who use our mobiles as desktop radio.

The SMB-201 is compatible with nearly all YAESU VHF/UHF Dual-band Transceivers i.e. FTM-400DR, FT-8900R, FT-8800R and FT-7900R.
