The End Fed series of antennas was designed to allow effective HF operation in extremely limited spaces. Primary testing was done with the antenna mounted under the eave of a roof. The wire was simply stapled to the plywood soffit and screws held the matching network. In this configuration the SWR typically dipped to 3:1 or 4:1 on the ham bands. An LDG auto tuner provided the 50 ohm impedance matching for the transceiver. Since the coax shield serves as the counterpoise for the radiating element, a minimum length of 30 feet is suggested. While not required for operation, a ground post is provided for those who want to experiment with a radial system.
40-6M End Fed Wire - 36Ft. - Made for extremely limited space operations. A quality antenna tuner will provide a perfect match on all bands from 40-6 meters. Excellent for portable field operation as well! 100 watts maximum power.
